As the former CEO of Barloworld Logistics Africa, Eric boasts extensive leadership and management skills with over 22 years’ experience in the supply chain and logistics industry. Eric has been closely involved with the redesign and implementation of some of South Africa’s largest Supply Chain networks. Eric is passionate about the design, implementation and management of transportation management solutions. He believes that the industry still has some way to go before it can reach its full potential and that technology has a huge role to play in optimising transport networks.
Carsten Schubert
Director
Carsten started his career in the construction industry working as a National Account Manager at PPC Cement followed by a position as Marketing & Sales Director at Concor Technicrete. He then joined Barloworld Logistics as a Supply Chain Executive responsible for the development of marketing and key account management strategies. Carsten has over 15 years integrated supply chain management experience and has managed clients such as Illovo Sugar, PPC Cement, Corobrik, Nike and Unilever.
Neil Larkens
Director
Neil has over 15 years’ experience in project management and solution implementations in the supply chain and logistics industry. Neil has been closely involved in the implementation of a number of Transport Management Systems across various industry groups. Following various logistics-related positions within AECI and Barloworld Logistics, and some time spent as a management consultant at Accenture, Neil joined Transnova to lead the Pre-Sales and Implementation teams of the business.
Tim Blake
General Manager
Tim is the General Manager at Business Modelling Associates with significant experience in supply chain planning, modelling and optimisation. Tim was previously part of the supply chain leadership team at Deloitte Strategy Consulting and held various supply chain roles at The South African Breweries. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Operations Research (with distinction) from UCT, while helping set up FoodForward SA. Areas of specialisation include predictive and prescriptive analytics, supply chain network design and optimisation, supply chain strategy, sales and operations planning, inventory optimisation, transport optimisation, machine learning, statistical modelling and mixed integer programming.
